This is how the Michelin Guide 2018 raves about our restaurant

“The flavoursome food on offer in this lovely wine grower’s house built in 1542 (named after the vineyards just below it) is made using top-quality produce. Try the warm carpaccio of calf’s head with prawns and truffle sabayon or the Berlin-style zander with black pudding and mash. The wine list contains a number of South African vintages.”

That’s what “Schlemmer Atlas” says about us

At Leitheim Castle near Donauwörth, directly above the historic vineyards and the “Young Danube river” , chef Paul Zinsmeister and his team pamper their guests in a stately atmosphere – and at a high level. In cozy, elegant rooms with a tiled stove or near the open fireplace, you can taste the Mediterranean-inspired, down-to-earth dishes. How about baked shrimp tartare and avocado or a tender pink roasted duck breast with cherry sauce, snow peas and potato cookies? A fruity white from Germany or a selected drop from Italy, France or South Africa complement the dishes.”
